9. USE OF COOKIES
We use cookies on our site. These are small files that your browser automatically creates and stores on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our website. Cookies do not harm your device, do not contain viruses, trojans, or other malware. Information related to the specific device used is stored in the cookie. However, this does not mean that we directly obtain knowledge of your identity. The use of cookies serves, on the one hand, to make the use of our offer more pleasant for you. For example, we use so-called session cookies to recognize that you have already visited individual pages of our website. These are automatically deleted after you leave our site. In addition, we also use temporary cookies to optimize user-friendliness, which are stored on your device for a certain defined period. If you visit our site again to use our services, it is automatically recognized that you have already been with us and which entries and settings you have made, so you do not have to enter them again. On the other hand, we use cookies to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer for you (see section 7). These cookies allow us to automatically recognize that you have already been with us on a subsequent visit to our site. These cookies are automatically deleted after a defined period. The data processed by cookies is necessary for the purposes mentioned to safeguard our legitimate interests as well as those of third parties according to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Most browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you can configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer or that you are always notified before a new cookie is set. Completely disabling cookies may, however, result in you not being able to use all functions of our website.
10. LINKS TO THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES
The links published on our website are researched and compiled by us with the greatest possible care. However, we have no influence on the current and future design and content of the linked pages. We are not responsible for the content of the linked pages and do not expressly adopt the content of these pages. The provider of the website to which reference was made is solely liable for illegal, incorrect or incomplete content as well as for damages resulting from the use or non-use of the information. The liability of the one who merely points to the publication by a link is excluded. We are only responsible for external references if we have positive knowledge of them, i.e. also of any illegal or punishable content, and it is technically possible and reasonable for us to prevent their use.
11. ANALYSIS AND TRACKING TOOLS
The tracking measures listed below and used by us are carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. With the tracking measures used, we want to ensure a needs-based design and the continuous optimization of our website. On the other hand, we use the tracking measures to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer for you. These interests are to be regarded as legitimate within the meaning of the aforementioned provision. The respective data processing purposes and data categories can be taken from the corresponding tracking tools.
a) Google Analytics
For the purpose of tailored design and continuous optimization of our pages, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service of Google Inc. (https://www.google.de/intl/de/about/) (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; hereinafter "Google"). In this context, pseudonymized usage profiles are created and cookies (see under item 5) are used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website such as
- Browser type/version,
- Operating system used,
- Referrer URL (the previously visited page),
- Hostname of the accessing computer (IP address),
- Time of the server request,
are transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The information is used to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on website activities, and to provide other services related to website and internet usage for market research and tailored design of these internet pages. This information may also be transferred to third parties if legally required or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Your IP address is never merged with other data from Google. The IP addresses are anonymized so that assignment is not possible (IP masking).
You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting the settings of your browser software; however, we point out that in this case, not all functions of our website may be fully usable.
You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing a browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de).
As an alternative to the browser add-on, especially for browsers on mobile devices, you can also prevent tracking by Google Analytics by clicking on the aforementioned link. An opt-out cookie will be set that prevents future tracking of your data when visiting our website. The opt-out cookie only applies in this browser and only for our website and is stored on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you must set the opt-out cookie again.
Further information on data protection in connection with Google Analytics can be found at the following link in the Google Analytics help: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de
b) Google Adwords Conversion Tracking
To statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our website for you, we also use Google Conversion Tracking. In this process, a cookie (see item 5) is set on your computer by Google Adwords if you have reached our website via a Google ad.
These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of the Adwords customer's website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page.
Each Adwords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies therefore cannot be tracked across the websites of Adwords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for Adwords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. The Adwords customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that would allow users to be personally identified.
If you do not wish to participate in the tracking process, you can also refuse the setting of a cookie required for this – for example, via a browser setting that generally disables the automatic setting of cookies. You can also disable cookies for conversion tracking by configuring your browser to block cookies from the domain "www.googleadservices.com". Google's privacy policy for conversion tracking can be found at the following link: https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html
12. SOCIAL MEDIA PLUGINS
On our website, we use social plugins of social networks (e.g., Facebook) based on Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR to make our company better known. The underlying advertising purpose is to be regarded as a legitimate interest within the meaning of the GDPR. The responsibility for data protection-compliant operation lies with their respective providers. The integration of these plugins by us is done using the so-called two-click method to best protect visitors to our website.
a) Facebook
Our website uses social media plugins from Facebook to make their use more personal. For this purpose, we use the "LIKE" or "SHARE" button. This is an offer from Facebook.
When you visit a page of our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection with the servers of Facebook. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly by Facebook to your browser and integrated into the website by it.
By integrating the plugins, Facebook receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook account or are not currently logged into Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly by your browser to a Facebook server in the USA and stored there.
If you are logged into Facebook, Facebook can directly assign the visit to our website to your Facebook account. When you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the "LIKE" or "SHARE" button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. The information is also published on Facebook and visible to everyone.
Facebook can use this information for advertising, market research, and tailored design of the Facebook pages. For this purpose, Facebook creates usage, interest, and relationship profiles, e.g., to evaluate your use of our website with regard to the ads displayed to you on Facebook, to inform other Facebook users about your activities on our website, and to provide other services related to the use of Facebook.
If you do not want Facebook to associate the data collected via our website with your Facebook account, you must log out of Facebook before visiting my website.
Please refer to the privacy policy, especially Facebook's data policy, which you can view at the following link, for the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of data by Facebook as well as your related rights and settings options to protect your privacy: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/

In the latter case, you have a general right of objection, which we will implement without specifying a particular situation.
If you wish to exercise your right of revocation or objection, an email to: info@ask-the-fox.de is sufficient
15. DATA SECURITY
During your website visit, we use the widespread SSL procedure (Secure Socket Layer) in conjunction with the highest encryption level supported by your browser. This is usually 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we instead use 128-bit v3 technology. You can recognize whether an individual page of our website is transmitted encrypted by the closed display of the key or lock symbol in the lower status bar of your browser.
We also use appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction, or unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
